Who we are
Farmacinha is a household medicine-cabinet inventory app maintained by Cartae Serviços LTDA, CNPJ 54.245.388/0001-10, Brazil. It helps adults organize packages, quantities, storage places and expiration dates. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, doses or treatment recommendations.
For privacy questions, contact Cartae at suporte@cartae.com.br.
Data saved on your device
Farmacinha does not require an account. Product names, package quantities, expiration dates, storage places, optional photos, review and restock history, app preferences, language and notification settings are stored locally on your device. The current version does not send this cabinet inventory to Cartae servers and does not provide cloud synchronization.
Farmacinha excludes its private inventory and photos from automatic platform backups on Android and iOS. Device or operating-system behavior outside the app remains subject to the settings and practices of those providers.
You can manually create a password-protected backup of your cabinet data, including available photos, then choose where to save it. If photos are missing or exceed the file limit, the app asks before saving a backup without some or all photos. The file may be stored with a cloud provider if you select one. Farmacinha does not upload it to Cartae or keep your password. Restoring a backup replaces the cabinet data on the current device after your confirmation.
Camera reading
From version 1.5.0, the camera can read the name and expiration date printed on a package. Images are processed on your device and are not sent to Cartae or Google. Check and correct the details before saving them to your cabinet.
On iOS, text recognition uses Apple Vision on the device. On Android, Google ML Kit sends Google device and app information, an installation identifier, usage events, performance metrics and errors for diagnostics and analytics. This technical collection also occurs with Plus when camera reading is used. It does not include the camera images or the contents of your cabinet. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Farmacinha schedules local reminders about cabinet reviews and items that need attention. By default, a notification may show summary counts on the lock screen, but it does not need to display product names. You can disable notifications in the app or device settings.
Widget and sharing
With Plus, the home-screen widget shows only how many items expire. To recount each day, the app keeps a copy of the expiry dates on your device, without names, places, notes or photos. Farmacinha does not send this copy anywhere, and it is not part of the password-protected backup.
The restock list leaves the app only when you choose to share it, and it goes only to the destination you choose. The shared text contains the names and quantities of the items still to buy, without places, notes, expiry dates or photos.
Ads, consent and third-party services
The free version may display ads through Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Farmacinha uses Google consent tools where required and provides access to applicable ad privacy options in the app settings.
Google services may collect, use or share approximate location inferred from an IP address, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, diagnostics and performance data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, maintain security and comply with legal obligations. Farmacinha does not send your product names, quantities, expiration dates, places, photos or cabinet history to AdMob.

iOS: install and usage measurement
Starting with iOS version 1.5.3, Farmacinha no longer includes Google Analytics for campaign measurement or asks you to enable it. Updating does not delete your cabinet data. Ads shown inside the app still use Google AdMob, with the privacy controls described above.
If you still use version 1.5.2
In iOS version 1.5.2 only, with your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure installs and understand the results of Farmacinha ads. Google may receive first opens, sessions, engagement time, updates, purchase events and ad interactions, along with basic device and app data and a random identifier for this installation. We do not send your cabinet item names, quantities, expiry dates, storage locations, notes or photos for this measurement.
The measurement option in Farmacinha controls whether Google Analytics collects this data. The separate iOS tracking permission, shown in the system prompt and available in device Settings, also controls whether usage, purchase and ad interaction events can be used to measure Farmacinha ad results in Google Ads. If you allow measurement but not tracking, Analytics still receives the data described above, and Google may count installs and conversions in aggregate or modeled form. For this measurement, advertising and vendor identifiers and automatic screen reporting are always disabled. We do not use this data to personalize ads.
Google may process your connection's IP address and derive general geographic information, such as your country. We have disabled detailed location and device collection in Analytics. This does not remove all geographic information.
Our current account settings allow Google to use aggregate data for modeling and industry comparisons and to access data to provide technical support.
This choice is optional, also applies to Plus and can be changed in Settings. You can use the app without allowing this measurement. Turning it off stops its collection but does not automatically delete data already sent. Your choice stays on this device, outside your inventory and the app's backup.
We have set Analytics retention to two months for individual user and event data, without resetting the user's retention period when there is new activity. This setting does not limit how long aggregate reports remain available or determine retention for all Google Ads data.
Data sharing
Cartae does not sell users’ personal or sensitive data. Technical data may be processed by Google as described above for camera SDK diagnostics and analytics, for optional install and usage measurement in iOS version 1.5.2, to provide and measure ads, prevent fraud, maintain security and comply with the law.
Purchases
Farmacinha may offer a one-time Plus purchase to remove ads and unlock additional features. Apple or Google processes the purchase through the store where you downloaded the app. Cartae receives the purchase status needed to unlock the benefit but does not receive your full card details.
Retention and deletion
Your cabinet data remains on the device until you delete it. You can remove individual items in the app. Uninstalling Farmacinha removes the app’s local data from the device. Because the current version does not create accounts, there is no account deletion flow.
Data processed by Google services follows Google’s own retention and deletion controls.
A backup saved outside the app remains at the location you chose even if you uninstall Farmacinha. Delete that file separately if you no longer want to keep it.
Security
Farmacinha keeps the main cabinet data locally and uses secure connections for third-party services. No application can eliminate every risk, so keep your device protected and its operating system up to date.
Children
Farmacinha is not directed at children. It is intended for adults and caregivers who organize household supplies. Adults are responsible for keeping medicines safely out of children’s reach.
Your rights under Brazilian law
Where Brazil’s General Data Protection Law applies, you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, information about sharing, deletion or anonymization of personal data, subject to legal limits. Email suporte@cartae.com.br.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Farmacinha changes its features, data practices, third-party services or legal requirements. The updated version will show a new revision date.
